Will King is a Wellington based baritone who is beginning his fourth year studying Classical Voice at the NZSM School of Music under the joint teachings of James Clayton and Margaret Medlyn. His roles include Lorenzo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e I Montecchi, Zaretsky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, and Valens in a staged production of Handel’s Theodora, all of which he performed with Days Bay Opera. Earlier this year, Will was part of Bonefeeder, a production for the Auckland Arts Festival in conjunction with NZ Opera, where he played the part of Sam. He also played the roles of Haraschta in the 2017 NZSM Opera The Cunning Little Vixen and Count Almaviva in Eternity Opera’s recent production of The Marriage of Figaro.  His concert repertoire includes Donizetti’s Reqiuem, Mozart’s Vespers, and Astorga’s Stabat Mater. Will has also been an active member of the NZ Youth Choir since 2014.
